A teacher by profession and writer at heart; I was living a messy life far from God, when an unexpected encounter with him in my 30’s led me to wanting to know this God personally.

As a result of me pursuing him and him pursuing me, in 2014, I was baptised.  

​

 Today, I continue to enjoy a life of faith in Jesus Christ, serve in my local church and daily walk a challenging yet satisfying journey of godly growth. 

​

To my teenage daughters, I am annoying.  To others I am nature loving, bonkers yet introverted.

I am not a woman with a neat, organised life, with a ‘perfect’ family, living in a home with a white picket fence; I am the complete opposite! 

I am a single woman and mum, with struggles that centre on career, health (both mine and one of my children), emotions, relationships, finance.

None of this is easy, but this is who I am, and it is the privilege of an amazing relationship with Jesus Christ, God himself, that helps me on the journey.

 

While not everyone will relate to my circumstance; I know many of you can relate to life as a woman being a whirlwind of high, lows and constant demands!

 

However, as I traverse this whirlwind, I am experiencing some beautiful truths: 

 

I was made by God, for God.  I know Him personally and he knows me. 

 

God designed me to rest in Him and with Him. From this rest. I find real purpose and resilience for life.  

​

Through faith in Jesus Christ, as my Lord and saviour, I will live eternally in a perfect kingdom. 

This means I care about an eternity with Christ, for others. 

After many conversations with women at various stages of faith, and some with no faith at all, I started Gorgeously Made in 2020 to help women, including myself, learn more about the God of the bible, and how to build a relationship with God day-by-day. 

God created us to do life together! Therefore, my hope and prayer is that we grow into women who share and celebrate that we are Gorgeously Made by God. For God.
